From October 14th onwards, Race Village, a space of over 40,000 m2 for sports and leisure, will be open to the public for 23 consecutive days.  Race Village will have leisure areas and restaurants where visitors can enjoy a complete and varied programme of shows, concerts, entertainment, an introductory sailing course and leisure activities for the general public.

In Race Village visitors will have a grandstand view of the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-12 and be able to follow the course of the different coastal yacht races taking place on the Alicante course, and a close-up of the teams taking part in the competition which are based on the site.
